We build the whole thing indoors.
Habitat1 started in a hangar outside Alton in 2023, after three of us spent a decade watching good garden buildings ruined by the site they were assembled on. Wet timber, missed trades, a six-month project for a twenty-square-metre room.
So we moved the whole build indoors. A Habitat1 pod is finished, wired, glazed, tested and commissioned before it is loaded. The site work is a base, a trench and one day with a crane. Everything else has already happened.

Twenty-two people, eleven of them on the line. You get one surveyor from first visit through to handover, and their number.
Come and stand inside one.
Two pods are set up at the works outside Alton, Thursday to Saturday. No appointment needed before 4pm, though it helps if you tell us you are coming.
